Now if I could just zoom in onto my fields close enough to see shrooms. I would be able to check them out without leaving my house.

Its a little scary, but, still pretty cool I guess.

I wonder when they took the pictures? I can tell that they probably took them in the fall, but, thats a guess... just by the look of the rivermouth by my house.

There is another website very similar to that called Terraserver, i know that the pictures for that site were done in 1995, so it could be outdated, but it is a good way to find feilds. Combine it with Yahoo maps so you can tell what road is which and such and it is a great tool. peace

I got much better results from a website called www.globexplorer.com - the watermarks are annoying, but I still got a lot of use out of it

Well, on globexplorer, I get an image from March 01, 2004. On terrafly, the image appears to be from January 1995. That means my house doesn't even exist in the pic, and most of the area isn't even developed... I do like the enhanced demographic type info given by terrafly though... it's a good find.

Where did you find that date on terrafly?

Ok, I put in my address on the main page and hit Fly now... this brings up the control window and the image frame... now it shows a crosshair on the address and I click that crosshair. Now, this opens up another window with all kinds of info about the area around where I clicked. If you look on the top of this new window, where the window is colored blue, you ought to see a button saying "Date" on the right hand side.. clicking that got me the date of the image. I tried this on a few different places that I've lived so i figure it's accurate.
