whats the simplest cheapest and least maitntnece set up thing that i can get shrroms to actually grow. everyhting seems all high teck and exspensive. is there a way i can make em grow with out all the fancey stuff?

yes....
get brown rice flour (organically produced), vermiculite, perlite, and a new garbage can.
sterilize your vermiculite and brf...then when its colonized with mycelium...get tupperware bowl..put just moist vermiculite on bottom...then the jar substrait...then ontop of that put moist soil....then put perlite and water on bottom of your NEW garbage can and place the tupperare bowl ontop of that...then put saran wrap over the lid of you garbage can and wait..
thats just a lay out...its more complicated than that.
....oh and to sterilize..you dont need a pressure cooker or anything...just sterilize jars in pot on med/low for about 30 min

you can get vermiculite and perlite at a place like fred meyers...or walmart...or places like that...you get brown rice flour at a health food store kinda place....you know where to get garbage cans right?

cheapest way to grow is "invitro"... You just let the mushrooms grow inside the jar... Read about it at Fanaticus.com

I havn't found invitor to be very reliable with most strains, I wouldn't recommend it for a newbie who prolly wants to see the miracle of creation play out.

You can scrounge up things like pressure cookers and aquariums for a terrarium for dirt cheap at your local thrift shop. You're right, there is no need to spend big bucks on this hobby. People have been growing shrooms for years without the aid of any fancy, high tek, expensive gadgets.
