Rehydration of spores

Got an old print, probably like 5 months old. I read somewhere that you need to let it sit in the syringe for atleast 24hrs to let it rehydrate, does that sound about right?

rehydration is a myth in my eyes.
i did syringes and used them minutes later,
always worked.

but it cant be bad :smile:

I rehydrated a print 20 yrs old.
after 24 hrs. no results
after 72 hrs. still no results
after a full week... things where rockin'

Granted mind you, a print less than a year old will rehydrate in under 24 hrs. and a new print shouldn't make any difference at all.

nope that's wrong. no need to rehydrate spores. in a glove box you can flake spores directly off of a print into the jar of sterile grain and germination time is not compromised at all.

anyways spores are microscopic, they will absorb all the liquid they are going to absorb in seconds.
