I have a couple of cakes that are just barely colonized at the bottom but everything else is colonized, do you think I should flip my cakes upside down? or no?

I've heard of people doing that and heard of success...But...If you're doing PF cakes, then your dry verm. will absorb water, the water will work its way down thus making ur dry verm. layer wet and more sussceptiable to contams. If you're using tyvek/grains, then ur tyvek will get wet....i.e, not such a great idea...but gl in w/e u decide...

And just some fyi...

The reason we let cakes fully colonize is b/c fully colonized cakes are pretty contam. resistant. They typically contam. when you case(cuz u break them up) and when you take them out early and they're not finished colonizing..=)

Well i officially now have one fully colonized half pint jar. I didn't flip that one at all and i just left it in the tnt. It only took 9 days to fully colonize.
