For all you "yield junkies"
    #3700301 - 01/30/05 12:24 AM (12 years, 9 months ago)

55 pint size jars cased into 9 Large casings 6 small casings. Lost 4 of the large casings to contams before pinning. And approximately 2 of the smaller ones. Total dry yield 10 oz. - disappointing results however what to do with 10oz, when your not a drug peddler. I heard about this experiment through the grape vine.

10 oz dry, would be enough to last a rec. user for his/her entire life if they are stored properly, and if they dont get STUPID and start bragging.

Honestly thats how people end up busted, if youre gonna grow, then grow, but tell NO ONE. not even your best friend, girl friend, wife whatever. tell NO ONE. even if they are into it, its another person that can have one slip of the tongue and cause a WORLD of hurt for you.

Buddy, you need an airtight, air-less, dark place for storing powdered shrooms...

First you need to get them cracker dry, then you need to turn them to powder (this gets air out)...

You want to store them in a glass vial, as ziplocks and the like allow for gaseous exchange over periods of time. The glass vial must be filled to the top, with absolutely no air space. There are many teks on the issue. Head to the FAQ's, search the forums. Plenty of info about it.

Peace

Gets the air out of the shrooms? But then isn't the entire inside of the shrooms exposed to the air in whatever container you use.. more air I would imagine? I don't get it. Powdering is great for saving space though.

My neighbours pet elephant man just dries em out really well, Sticks em in a jar with a small bag of cacl2 desiccant taped to the inside of the lid, and puts em in a dark place. And a few just in a small airtight tub in the freezer.

Mushrooms last an incredibly long time.  As a matter of fact, there are numerous reports out there to indicate the trip improves somehow, almost as if they age like a fine wine.  I plan to test this out.  Meanwhile, storing your mushrooms ground up via powder is a great way to go.  Easy to move, hard to identify.

Here is 14 grams in a 1/2 pint jar, it can fit a full ounce if packed down.

Put speramint and marigold seeds and dehydrated bannana-peels and peanut skins in there... (Don't those get aged into "Legal drugs"?)

Id so sell mushrooms if I lived it Europe. Been lots of contraversy and trying to illegalize them completly though recently and trying to get sellers. As opposed to the good old US of A where at least we know what freedoms are being repressed

Here (europe, Netherlands) its hard to get a good price for them. Since its legal there are many growers. Like www.procare.nl, cant beat them with my PMP!

Also "mushrooms" is a completely different product then Marijhuana. Lot of growers of that too. But also much more users!!! And they use it more frequent. Ive had years I smoked every day.

But mushrooms? Some years only once! :P

So you can sell mushrooms, but more then 1? p. gram (dried) you wont get for it. At least not in Holland.

Yeah but if I lived in Europe I'd make sure to have a system to contend with procare...the legalities hold me back as it is now.. Otherwise I'd have more then my "little pod"

Sure you could gow below Procares prices, but as stated, the market IS saturated. It still is more return on investment to grow nice White Widow for instance.

Marijuana growers who switched to large scale mushroomgrowing got bankrupt, broke. Big big yields, low demands from the market..... Is low prices is....... low income. Takes many years to reach break even pint.

It can be done if you have the ??? to back you up a couple of years to make it able to fight procare and such out the market. By quality mushrooms and even lower prices.

Then it takes many many years before you make profit. Due to the big investments, salaries even, and very low margins...

So not impossible, but its gonna be very tough......
