why bother?
    #3699168 - 01/29/05 07:05 PM (11 years, 10 months ago)

lets say your walking with some friends along a path, and you see a gorgeous flower, the most beutifull thing youve ever seen.

so you pause and turn to your friends and say 'wow guys! look at that flower! its amazing!"

one of them says "thats not a flower. thats a hideous piece of lizard shit"

the other says "theres no flower there. your just deluding yourself"

and the last says "flowers dont exist. There just an imaginary concept people put there faith in to relieve the suffering of an empty and miserable life"

so, do you argue, debate, cajole, and bust your brain trying to figure out how to get these friends of yours to see something you see so clearly RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES?

or , do you sigh, shrug, and stop to smell the flowers gorgeous scent?

good luck on all your paths and journeys.

When your ready, i assure you, the flower is beutifull indeed.

That's the point I've been trying to make in some threads

Let's say you're walking with some friends along a path, and one of your friends says" Hey look, a leprechaun!" You turn and see nothing.

Do you placate him and say, "Yes, he is a charming little fellow." Or do you keep quiet and wonder about his mental stability?

What is it you see clearly right in front of your eyes that others don't, Moonshoe? How did you acquire these amazing powers of enhanced vision? Or are we really talking about something that can't be apprehended by the senses at all, like ghosts or fairies or gods or somesuch?

It is much more fun for some posters to dance around the issue rather than get to the meat.

It's like trying to explain what purple is to a color blind person who doesn't know he's color blind.

Exactly so why bother is right. Just enjoy the purple yourself and share the joy. The other doesn't need to see it themselves to feel the joy. They can see and feel from you though. You be the flower moonshoe!!!!

Take the flower and rub it on the lizard guy while laughing and saying "you've got shit on your face".

I have come to the point where i feel that my innermost beliefs are not understandable by anyone. I have tried to explain them, but most people either laugh or say "wtf".

However, on rare occasions someone will connect with something im trying to tell them, and on that one occasion, it makes it worthwhile to try to explain.
