Perlite Turning Black
    #3694000 - 01/28/05 03:22 PM (19 years, 2 months ago)

My perlite seems to have turned a shiny black around the base of my cake and one other little spot in the perlite.  My mushrooms still seem to be growing fine, but I would like to have more than this one flush because it is kinda small .  Is this some kind of contamination?  Can I save this cake?

Thanks for the help, Chronic

Even small mushrooms can drop a shitload of spores. Since perlite is non-nutritious, I'm guessing this is the case. (Note: I cannot see your image).
