Lophophora diffusa
A slow growing pale green cactus. Contains less of the hallucinogenic alkaloid, mescaline than L. williamsii.
Well, i'm not to familar with mescaline or these cactus-es, i've been cultivating other varies things and these seem like something new to try out. Does anyone have any links so that i can futher develop my knowledge on the drug they produce and the varies species? My research isn't really getting my anywhere : /

It's my understanding that various specimens of this species have been analyzed through various systems (GC/MS) and no quantities of mescaline were found, although other chemicals of whose pharmacology little is known were found.

Haha, I'm sorry I came across negatively. I tend to be on the serious side of things, so I could see how I could appear that way.
No hard feelings I hope, and sorry once again.

Not to be a grammar nazi.
But the plural of cactus is cactii.

Actually I'll eat my own words, cactuses is indeed a word.
Nevertheless, cactii flows off the tongue much easier.
Please change your typing style to match my aesthetic needs.
Thankyou.

correct: "cactuses" is a word. however, "cactii" is not. the other plural form of "cactus" is "cacti."

Well actually, diffusa of the lophoria phylum does not contain mescaline. Actually it contains more of loss of consciousness high due to some interesting alkaloids.
ariocarpus retusus and San Perdos, etc also contain alkaloids which have interesting effects.
