time to degraft? cactus grafting help needed!
    #3693699 - 01/28/05 03:44 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

hi folks, this year is specifically hot and dry and i have noticed most cacti took a bit longer than the usual before they start to put out growth but when they did, they exaggerated a bit, i think. my older grafts (lophs) are suffering from splitting (i have been watering very carefully), they're swelling way too fast and then cracks from as continuations of the ribs, some are starting to look unnatural and they're only 2 yrs old grafts.
my question is the following - what can i do for them to grow in a more uniform way? taking off the pups might worsen the splitting/swelling?
thanks in advance...
