What Should I Do?

I see only one or two very tiny primordia on a few cakes. However it is about 99% done. Just the very top has some subtrate that hasn't been colonized. Should I continue to wait until the primordia is bigger and hopefully the whole cake will be colonized? What if it doesn't?

Also are pins while bulges on the cake or the primordia?

Pins/primordia same thing. They're not white bulges on the cakes. Wait until you see little reddish/brown headed bulges before birthing, those are the pins. Your cake will colonize, just hang in there.

Thanx, that's what I thought. But when I said pins I meant primordia. The cakes aren't quite done colonizing.

Once in a rare while cakes will pin before being fully colonized.

If you cakes are pinning, I would birth. However, make sure that is what you see.
