Shrooms + Anti-Nauseants = Ok?
    #3689611 - 01/27/05 07:14 PM (11 years, 10 months ago)

Just wondering, sorry if this info is readily available, if it is safe to take an anti-nauseant (graval?) while on shrooms, to control the feeling of nausea?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar with that brand? What's the active ingredient? Dimenhydrinate?

I've used that before to no ill effect, except perhaps becoming a little sleepy.

In terms of safety, I am unaware of any contraindications.

Making the noise "penicillin" is no substitute for actually taking penicillin.

Yeah it's just dimenhydrinate.

definately safe - we use it as a sleeping pill in this house and when I had a bad trip I tried taking one to sleep it off...

Did it end up putting you to sleep? I've sadly managed to drift off on one or two occasions, odd to wake up and still be hallucinating, hah.

You're lucky. I always find that when dried plant or fungal matter enters my stomach, it always seems to absorb liquid and puff up like gelatin, taking up a lot of space all of a sudden, causing a fair amount of nausea.
