Mycelium but no growth
    #368799 -

Hello

Okay heres the situation. I have a terriaum setup on a timer, running to an ultra sonic humidefier. Put some cakes in solid white. They got fuzzy white, then stopped. Eventually went south on me, bacteria set in. They turned green. Okay put some more in there, They got white and fluffy, a couple pinned then fruited but not very many. I have used this setup before and done real well.

These are the variables that have changed:
Timer is on different setting, dropped it and it reset.
Vermiculite is more course
Spores are over 45 days old

Questions:
What is the formula for water ver and brown rice using PF Tek method for jars pint size

Does using more rice or water affect the growth cycle

Does anyone know how much a pint size jar will make dry shrooms ?

That coarse verm likely threw things off. It just doesn't make an effective barrier against contams. Screws up your moisture ratio as well. You can grind the verm in a blender, careful, don't want it too fine. (powdery is bad)
1 part rice, 2 parts verm and 1 part water.
1pint? Maybe 7 grams or so.

You obviously have no problem producing cakes. What I would suggest is casing those babies. They produce more shrooms, less contams, and faster. Get a hold of some coco fiber and read up on casings.
A qrt jar of rye will produce 1/2 oz - 1 oz dry on first flush if cased.
