without a doubt have music SOME time during your first trip.. I would not recoment the whole time though.. My first trip, I saw the waves of music and they wrapped around my body and all around in the air.. It was reaaaallyyy trippy and absolutely amazing.. As far as what music?? Nothing hardcore, something layed back with a good vibe that you can enjoy..

Grateful Dead, SCI, Phish....live stuff for all of those. Pink Floyd, psy trance (esp. Shpongle or Hallucinogen), ect. Oh yeah, Bon Marley is very interesting as well, have a good time!

I guess it all depends on your musical taste, because some people recommend techno and trance and shit, but i think its way too repetitive. Pink Floyd is also too gloomy for me.
What will you listen to? anything that you really love, gives you shivers when you listen to it, and is happy and not too fast.
What do I recommend? I recommend anything by Devin Townsend, but my bet is that nobody will try it, even though it has been the best music i have ever listened to tripping. IMO it puts the grateful dead to shame.

Stuff without words is usually the best. I'd recommend the song 'A Tear for Eddie' by Ween. That songs fucking incredible while tripping. Really any mellow stuff like Pink Floyd, Marley, Grateful Dead or maybe Ben Harper would be good.

stuff without words is good, but when the singing is used as an instrument then it could be good.

I am the Walrus, Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds, yeah i believe some ppl do. I know i do sometimes. And I don't see how anyone could ever down Pink Floyd, THE GREATEST BAND TO EVER EXSIST!!! And then comes Greatful Dead(Franklins Tower), The Doors(The End), Three Dog Night(Never Been To Spain), Jimi Hendrix(Castles Made of Sand), Bob Dylan, Jefferson Airplane(White Rabbit), Cream (White Room), Led Zepplin(Dazed and Confused),The Youngbloods(Get Together), Widespread Panic(Driving Song). Just a few of my favorites for ya to chose from.

yes, MMT and Pepper, always a good decision dont know about the greatest for Floyd, definitely in the top5, nothing can beat laying in your bed with the lights off and some headphones on chilling to the Wall never been to spain, got it castles made of sand, thats the song that got me into Hendrix 2 years ago not too fond of Bob, just never really liked him some cream and led, wouldnt most be too heavy, but hey, i dont know never listened to youngbloods, or panic
also, this WEENS, never ever heard of them, but since they have been spoken so much, ill download an album, any suggestions for an album of theirs
thanks for all suggestions wish me and my friends luck

I can't listening to anything too dark when tripping, it just ruins the mood for me. I really like to listen to the Flaming lips, Morcheeba, Zero 7, Strokes, Bob Dylan is really nice too, it'll get you thinking.

Can't go wrong with The Mollusk. Or maybe try The Pod if you're feeling frisky. All of them are good really.
Also, I mentioned this one in another thread, but definitely check out Book M by Secret Chiefs 3. It's mindblowing stuff.
