stretching a spore syringe

I inoculated 12 jars with a syringe that had maybe 10.5 ml in it. Is that going to make it colonize slower, or have any other adverse effect?

So how much would you recomend inoccing 1/2 pint jars with then? It is suppose to be 2cc's right?

I used one syringe for 10 jars.

So, roughly 1cc per half pint jar. 1/4cc per inoculation site. Something like that should work. I've read that using more is just a waste unless you're really in a hurry to colonize.

I make 10cc's last 12 jars. I dont watch how much I put buy looking at the syringe, I just look at the side of the jar and put 1 small drop in each hole. Works just fine for me.

Faster colonization means less risk of contams. As long as you have the spores to do it I say go for it.
