Horse Poo in Winter?
    #3680125 - 01/25/05 11:28 PM (11 years, 10 months ago)

I'm planning on doing another bulk grow with straw/dung, but I've run into the problem of where to locate the poo in winter. All the places I went before (outdoors) are now frozen piles of excrement. Any ideas? I considered just asking a farmer for some fresh, but I'm also wondering if there are any viable alternatives. Thanks for the help.

Also, check out my completed bulk grow: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/3680088/an/0/page/0

home depot/lowes or some other places may have 40lb bags of composted cow manure....only like 2 bucks and works great.

Just wait until temps warm up to a little above freezing, or just hack out some chunks with a shovel. Having the poo a little frozen isn't going to stop you, just make for a little more bitch work on your part. I've gotta make a stop by the horsefarm again soon myself.

Probably a lot more than the gas it would take me to drive to Lowe's, but thanks for the offer. Hopefully they have it.

I have one word for this one TENNSTUD.COM This is where I get my poo and I would never even waste my time preparing poo myself. There is way too much work in that. You can order from tennstud.com at a very reasonable price.
