Injecting protien into casing?

Im thinking on trying somthing just for the hell of it. I Have a casing that is about spent.I Was wondering if I were to inject it with a spring water protien powder mix to see if any thing would happen(the health food,body building shit)Has anyone ever tried any thing like this?is it a bad idea or does anyone think it will work?

Never know until you try.  I've never heard of anyone using body building mixes, you'll be a pioneer, of sorts.  I don't think mushroom mycelium breaks down complex proteins very well though, maybe if it was just amino acids.  But I'm not a mushroom so I couldn't tell you:)

i had been thinking about that too since i bought a bunch of carnation instant breakfast stuff then found out i am allergic to milk again. let me know if it works i'm going to try mixing some into my substrate next time and see what happens .
