Uneven substrate depth straw/poo
    #3677189 - 01/25/05 12:15 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

Hello you bulkers,

Few days a go spawned some g2g (yes, I did it!!) jars of GT on WBS to a large tub with straw and poo.

When I was ready I noticed a very uneven substrate layer. At one side it is about 4 inches deep, the other side it is 1-2 inches!

Any problems when casing?

Thanks,
MF

As long as the substrate is fairly level (flat) and your casing layer is put down at an even thickness you will be fine. It's when there is mountains and valleys in the substrates surface that you will have problems with uneven casing layer colonization.. GL

If you can't spred the substrate evenly...what makes you think you will be able to spred the casing layer evenly?
lolzzz

Yes...there is a good chance the shrooms in the shallow end will be smaller.

Good luck!~
