Maybe they would freeze on Pluto, and even that probably wouldn't kill them. Spores, as opposed to mushrooms, are very resilient.

Yeah, I read something somewhere that spores can survive in a vacuum. Perhaps spores traveled here from somewhere else... shrooms are from another planet....

i think endospores are the ones the travel in space
spores can definitely survive freezing though
as can mycelium
