are the jars messed up?!?

Hey, my FOAF just recently made his second batch of 12 jars. About 15 minutes into sterilizing the jars in his pot of boiling water, he realized that they did not have any foil on them. He then took them out and opened a few up and felt the top vermiculite layer and found it to be dry. By the way he had microporous surgical tape covering each of the holes in the jar lids. He then covered them in foil and put them all back in the pot and let them sterlize for an hour. Are these jars ruined? He hope he does not have to redo 12 jars again and waste all that substrate. By the way it is the PF maximum fruiting formula. Thanks for the advice.

Provided the jars weren't soaked, they're probably fine if he boiled them for an hour from when he touched them.

they are fine, i never use aluminim fiol

they should be fine. but best meth is to place al foil on top of the jars the place the lid on and screw. this way no h20 will go in. plus u can save tape by only appling it onto the lid after innocl.
