Invitro tek?

Does anyone have a link to a good invitro tek? I have a jar that was colonizing so much more slowly than the others, it missed out on the casing.
I've seen pictures (In the Mushroom Cultivator) of shrooms growing great directly from jars (mine in a one pint) but didn't see a tek for making it happen.
It is rye+verm.
