Too early for SF?

Hey Folks,
Did some hunting in Golden-Gate today. Figured it wasn't quite september yet, but I'd do some looking anyway. Headed more towards the coast (lots of fog & moisture), and looked in the beds of many an evergreen tree (beautiful redwoods), as well as in mulch patches.
No luck.
In fact no mushrooms at ALL.
I'm guessing its just too early -- or I'm really bad at this ;-)

Let me know if anyone's seen anything yet.

You need the fall rains! Unless you are looking for cubensis which should be in your local cowfield about ...now!
