Syringe... is it alive inside? (pic)

Hi everybody, I haven't really gotten the chance to post in this forum since I have joined... because all my answers are usually answered by someone else in another post.
Anyway, for the past two years I have not seen anything like this happen to one of my syringes. It appears that most of the spores have "clumped" together... getting larger and larger every few days. On a closer inspection, Im not sure what it holding all these clumps together... they are separated (not touching each other) but, seem to be wired together by something barely visible. Possibly mycelium? Or contamination?
These spores are Z-Strain and come from Spores101. Stored inside a cool, clean desk drawer and never have been opened yet.
Here's a pic:
and a large res pic: http://www.gingerfish.net/images/moreimages/DSC00207.JPG
I'm sure this has happened to someone else before... I'm just curious as to what it is and/or why its happenening. My other Z-Strain syringes are showing signs of doing the same thing... but my other strains in syringes are not.

First off I dont think it should be that cloudy. I know that spores usually do cling together in my syringes....it might be okay. Your best bet is to make a few test jars. I always do that anyway so I dont waste a whole batch to contams. just take each syringe and inject into how ever many jars you have. and throw out the ones that go bad. It may be a waste but that helps you narow down the risks.

most likely a fe germinated and you now have mycelium growing in there as well hold it to a lighe and see if there is something milky near the spores

The quality of the picture is terrible.
Hard to see what is happening.
Clumping is normal.
If the syringe is getting some white clumps...you have some spores germinating and making mycelium.
A Mycelium syringe can be a good thing.
Shake it up really really good before you use it.
Good luck!~

Yea, sorry about the poor quality... it's hard for a 5.1MP cam to take something so upclose and small.
But seriously, Ive never seen this happen to any of my sryinges. Guess I'm just different. Most of my syringes just have small (barely visible) specks clinging to the sides. Even when I make my own syringes, this never happens.
And shit, your right... after holding it up to the light for a second with a magnifying glass, there is a white cloud clinging/holding everything together. Hmm... must be a pretty viable syringe.

Maybe temps raised at one point and made em germ? Good job on the posting, this is a good question by the way. Someone who actually finds an answer before having to ask! Nothing wrong with that.
