Searching for ethnobotanical growing info
    #3662239 - 01/22/05 11:48 AM (12 years, 3 months ago)

Hello ethnobotanists!  :muppet:

I am trying to find information about planting seasons ,watering preferences, and various other questions concerning many ethnobotanicals.

Can anyone point to a site (or maybe a list of sites) that i could use as a knowledge base in order to start my ethnobotanical garden?

:thanx:

E-Dot is a website with some nice forums dedicated specifically to entheogens, I know some knowledgeable shroomerites post there too.

If you have specific questions regarding specific plants you can first try a search of this forum as we have stated the information for the most of the plants we talk about probably more than once. If you don't find what you're looking for you can always make another post with specifics for certain specific plants.

There's no real book that will contain everything you want to know about ethnobotanical growing parameters in one place. "Growing the Hallucinogens," comes close, but really to learn about this stuff one has to consult different resources, some of which are just basic horticultural techniques combined with knowledge about where the plant is from and the type, cactus, succulent, shrub, etc. Sorry, but there's no PF-Tek to entheogens  :smirk:.

unfortunatly usually the legality of a lot of ethnobotanical plants is on the edge, this means documentation is mostly poor. You need to learn from people who have been cultivating something succesfully for a long time
