sorry if this is in the wrong place, but ive looked on a few places and cant find really anything about starting up reishi mycelium, i have some in honey water now but i think i put to many spores in its real cloudy with them. i see sites with mych syringes w/there kits but whats a good way for me to get a culture going? never done agar i have a clue whats its about, not shure if i want to get into it but im reading on it next.
ok anyway then sorry for the long post but i have a blue zany in me with a glass piece of nugs so im feelin good and like to ramble piece and thanks for any help.
lol...I love the stoned ramble to try to finish sentences...I do that all the time on forums :P
I'm currently growing reishi from a mycobag kit...it's fully colonized and hopefully will start fruiting pretty soon. You have the reishi growing in honey water already? Dunno that you coulda put too many spores in there...the more the merrier was my thought.
What kinda info are you looking for? They like wood-based spawn and my mycobag took about 5 weeks to colonize fully(from 2cc culture syringe). I think mine took a long time, though, because the top of the bag colonized first and it worked its way down, rather than inside out.
lol im a little more sober tonight can i just do like with cubies and suck up spores for a syringe or do i need to get the myc going (like karo) and then make my syringe? i just started the karo about two days ago, is it ok to incubate at room temp in the dark? my incubator is full w/11 pint jars 5 of them pink buffalo the other 6 are lipa yai
