As the taste of mushrooms is, not disgusting but a bit unpleasant to me, I'm planning to take them next time drinking pure orange juice in between.
My question is, what are the effects of orange juice (Vitamin C to what matters) taken with mushrooms? Can that improve or decrease the effects of the trip, or it simply doesn't cause any side effects?
I've never seen any scientific data on vitamin C affecting a trip. More powerful are the factors you can control, like empty stomach and setting. I think those are more important for your trip then vitamin C.

I'm planning to fast for 2 days on just water, juice and a few fruits to avoid starving, wake up around 8 am, go running for 1 hour to the nearest park, chill at home for the rest of the day, and then take 40 grams fresh, alone, with wax ear plugs to avoid the traffic noises from the outside and sit in the dark of my room at 11pm, and meditate for the first half an hour after ingestion.
