You should search for feed stores in your area they will have plenty of straw. As far as dung they might even let you clean their corrals and take the poo home...lol or just go to stables and ask for some. The manure that home depot sells is usually treated and no good. Im not the exact expert on this topic but all I know is I went out in the desert and collected old cow patties. my buddies though I was insane especially after telling them I wanted it for a mosaic...
The other bit of knowledge I can offer is get the old white poo I heard that is much better.

Good Luck

It might be worth the drive to get the poo.

Yes you can find straw in most craft store's.

You might also be able to find manure or Scotts 3 in 1 at a hardware store.

Good luck!~

Scotts 3n1 organic compost is said to be pretty good, except in more northern states, where apparently they add something to it, unfortunately I forgot just what they add.

Anyway, if you're in a southern state, 3n1 should work.

I found some at Home Depot.

I plan on putting it in an autoclavable "mycobag" from 1 of the shroomeries sponsores. Then I'll PC for an hour at 10 psi.
You should just follow any bulk tek for pasturizing or sterilizing it. It shouldn't have anything in it that cant be killed the same way that poo can.

There are people who have used it as spawn, and I believe it was somewhat successful, if not as successful as homemade compost or manure. Try the search function > "3n1 spawn" or "3n1 grow" or something. Maybe just "3n1"
