hunting problems

I live in the boonies in a town called aurora in Oregon i am surrounded by farms but to no avail have found no shrooms i have been hunting since the middle of june and still have not found a single psilocybe could someone help me out please?

Hey Mushroombob,

I live very close to you, in Chabonneau, and I haven't been out looking yet, but I am going to go for a walk here in a bit....If you are having trouble, maybe we can put our heads together and go hunting. Have you ever been hunting before? Let me know what you think. This is my first year in Oregon and my first ever shroom hunting.

OK guys, my last reply seems not to have entered but here it is again. Wait until autumn & it's been raining hard a couple of weeks, then go look. Liberty caps will come up in cow pastures (especially in tall grass along drainage channels & at the low soggy end of the field); woodloving species like stuntzii, cyanescens, & baeocystis will fruit in shrubbery beds (esp. mixed rhododendron/ conifers) mulched with hardwood chips. Don't even waste your time looking in red cedar bark beds, it's a natural fungicide.
