I'm pretty sure that when the '96 Drug Act came into affect, all stages of mushrooms became illegal in Canada.

Used to be that you could possess fresh/wet mushrooms legally, but I'm pretty sure that changed with our current drug laws. No more growing legally :-(

Mushrooms themselves are not illegal. Possessing psilocin or psilocybin is illegal, which means that mycellia, fresh or dried mushrooms are all illegal to possess or produce.

Psilocybine mushrooms are only legal for members of The Fane, The Church of the Psilocybin Mushroom. They made their Church Charter before the mushrooms becasme illegal and it is legal ofor them to use them in their ceremonies in Canada.
