alright, i was wondering if anyoen could refer me to a link in which i could get info on large grow rooms like hawks rather than chambers or tanks. or if anyone has some suggestions for if one was to want to make a grow room out of a 10 X 8 ft closet. thanks

Sorry I don't have the link but I just wan't to point out that the reason many do it in small chambers, aquariums, etc. is because it is easier to the control the enviroment in a small area rather than a large one.
Be prepared to spend a few bucks on enviromental controls.

An 8x10 CLOSET? Damn. That's the size of my apartment.
Check out Stamets' "The Mushroom Cultivator" for info on creating a grow room.

thanks. i was thinking that if you sealed off the entire closet (which is actually more like 9X6) and then used a nice hepa filter for air filtration, a large duct fan for air circulation, the mushroom humidifier (the one shown in picture above) and nice humidistat and thermistats to keep a constant humidity and temperature. wouldnt this be able to support a growing room that could have trays of substrate on shelves rather than in terrariums. this is also not my closet and a friends and money is not a problem but it woul be horrible to invest all this money and have no results. can anyone think of any holes in my plan. please reply with suggestions or comments. any experienced roomers with advice would be much appreciated.

would just say take your time, dont' rush into putting the cupboard into production untill EVERYTHING is 100% perfect, cos if you don't chances are it will fuck up.

plus probs a load more i don't know can't think about. but all the above needs to thought about, and prepared for.

While the cost is high, setting up a a large chamber works better then small tubs. Its easier to get the condions right over a large area then it is to a micro one. Temp/humidity/air exchange, fight aginst each other ,get those right and growing is easy. The way that I have seen cambers set up is to build a room within a room. the second room being made out of sealed plastic, like the ones sold by mushroom magic (doulbe d green house.). The equipment you'll need to humdify, and vent it can be found cheap, with a little sreaching. Oh the whole I have had much better results going this way then it was with trying to set up tubs, each having to have its own condtions set up.

I'm with product... 8x10 is an apartment not a closet ...also Stemets says (if I'm not mistaken) that he likes at least two doors to get into his grow areas...Most closets have one...(could make sterility a problem). I would also like to point out (if I'm not making an assumtion) that an area like that could probably grow a lot of shroomz. That many shroomz to share with friends? I don't think Madona on E has that many friends...Check out staments book

here is what I did for one of the closets in my apartment. So far I have no infection and I've gotten a shit load of pins. I have six 58 qt. rubbermaid containers with two holes each in them. 1 hole near the top of the container (which I feed fresh air into the containter via aquarium tubing.) 1 hole at the bottom (which I suck CO2 with via aquarium tubing and a second airpump. I use perlite for humidity.
I soon plan to utilize the whole closet as one giant chamber. Plan on using plastic sheeting to cover the walls, and use a humidifier and heater to control temps and humidity. I just need to work out a better method of air exchange if I goto this step.
