Mold or bruising
    #3657991 - 01/21/05 12:34 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

I know its been asked before But I can't find any good pics showing the difference. And my foaf doesn't have a cam. He woke up this morning (pins started yesterday) and now today there are little bluish green spots on his cakes. He tried the q-tip thing and nothing came off. But if he rubbed a little harder it came off with a little bit of the myc too, but there was nothing under the myc, no discoloration at all. Does this sound bad? :frown:

well it's not the mold!!! I told my foaf to press on a small part of the myc to bruise it on purpose to compare the colors and such and they are the same!!

a good way to tell is to dip a q-tip in some h2o2 and touch the colored area, if the q-tip comes away with color, it's contam.
If the q-tip is clean, it's bruising.
