The Big Secret of the Universe?
    #3656081 - 01/20/05 11:47 PM (11 years, 10 months ago)

All that exists is consciousness. Every thing is a thought. You are a thought. Your existence is a thought. These thoughts are your own consciousness. Consciousness coalesces to become energy. Energy condenses to become matter. These processes are also thoughts. All these thoughts stem from the same source. The source is holographic and infinite. This source is you and me and everything. You are me and I am you and the trees and the worms and the dirt and the atoms. When you experience ego loss you don't become nothing, you become everything. The point of life is to experience your consciousness, THE consciousness, and learn from it. Know thyself.

You're thinking your own existence and you don't even know it.

There. I just saved you twenty more years of intellectualizing, and saved you $1000 spent on books and seminars, not to mention all the money spent on drugs trying to attain Enlightenment?. Now you can leave the S&P forum and live out your days in peace. Did I mention that leaving the S&P forum is a trendy thing to do?

hmmm...

(...soulmotion scratches the plaque off of his teeth with his index fingernail...)

How about this: you can't have consiousness without a universe; how could you contemplate an infinite void? What would there be to contemplate? The mind needs physical matter to play with. I would disagree that substance is a manefestation of thought; rather, substance is a medium through which thoughts are refracted/manifested.

You got it all wrong...

"A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That's control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That's abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

There is a difference between being told something and experiencing it. Being told something, it may or may not be true to your consciousness, it could just be a lie. Experiencing it is the highest affirmation of the existence of anything stated. So really no, it doesn't save you the money on drugs, because people still need to experience it for themselves. That is consciousness for you

If I were thinking my own existence, I'm pretty sure I would think up a better one than this.

Then again, I dream about stupid stuff like not being able to find my classroom and missing the big test when I could be dreaming about flying.

In the domain of this theory, you are not you, you are a part of One, and One is the thought, You as you know youeself today is a small creation of the higher you, but this YOU that you can find tomorow is ONE itself. So there is only one thing.

And besides, if you were all that there is, what makes you think your thought wouldn't be a hard terrestrial life? Isn't it fun playing dangerous games on a computer?

And my answer to the person who said that thought needs a medium...
you think that because you were thaught that from your birth.
but I can ask you the same question about matter:
Doesn't matter need a medium to exist? You would say no, of course not, it's ridiculous, matter just IS.
So why can't a thought just be. Perhapse thought just IS.
Before you answer this, stop and think outside of yourself and your brain (metaphorically)

What about Jesus, and the ideas of language, what is the word made flesh?

I think it means watch your language. lots of the stuff is residual metaphor and no shakespeare around to keep the humour up.

Actually matter does need a medium to exist. The medium is space, or if you prefer the space time continuum.

Soulmotion's point is that if nothing exists but thought, and in maxheadroom's theory, if I am reading it correctly, there is only one thought, then what would that thought be about. There is no object for contemplation, so the thought would be it's own object. It would have to be thinking about itself. In the beginning this thought would be contemplating itself, contemplating itself... ad infinitum. I think for this theory to be advanced we must find the what that caused the distillation of this one primordial thought into other thoughts, energy/mass, and space/time.

the thought can exist without having anything to think about anything
it can simply be a thought that observes nothingness
when things begin to present themselves the thought observes the progression from nothingness to somethingness and begins to think about what this means. what these other things are in relation to nothing. why is there something now when there was nothing before. did i get tired of observing the nothingness and decide to create something to keep me intruiged

does the sum total of everything that exists need a medium to exist in?

I have to take it easy because if we are part of all there is, and all there is looking at itself, well - isn't that like we are looking at ourself and pressing against ourself and talking to ourself?
I have to take it easy, because it really spooks me out to think about it, and I try not to ask the "why" questions at all 'cause that spooks me out more than anything...

The source may or may not be holographic, and it is not at all infinite. Terence Mckenna pointed out there was a collapse in the 4th dimension. Terence Mckenna was not really someone we should have listened to now should we?

"You're thinking your own existence and you don't even know it." - Subjective reality. We live in an objective world.

"There. I just saved you blah blah blah." - You certainly have not lost your ego. Ego loss is never perminant. It is a temporary substance use account.

Props to ya for that Max! I will add something to it. It is my theory that through sound waves, thought/light becomes materialized. It's my understand that emotions also generate wavelengths akin to those of sound waves. When thought makes something matter, gives meaning to it, the waves of the meaning create the form shape. To the depth of the emotion, sound or meaning is to the extent of the light, densities, or becomes materialized, made into something that really matters, things of matter that appear real.

An example of how sound waves create. There was one of those pendulums over sand in a store in California that when an earthquake hit about 100 miles away, the pendulum formed a pattern in the sand just off the sound waves. It was cool. Experiments were also done by putting sand on the top of a drum. When different sound waves were aimed at it, the sand moved on the drum top and formed shapes.

I disdain a tad from going here, but what was that stuff in the Bible about first their was thought then the word, or first light then sound or thought put into word to make sound to express the thought or something to that effect.

Fun topic!!!!!!!Though it may appear to go under mental masturbation, it can be applicable relative to those who believe we create our own experiential realities.

As first light, conscious intelligence thought about itself and took its thoughts seriously, made them matter, it made matter of itself.
It being LIGHT.

You could say, light/conscious intelligence, thought about itself and fell in love with itself and fell into self made matter-densified around congealed thoughts, where it paid focused attention to a thought and wanted to realise it.

Take it all from the macro to the micro level and you have quite a party of self realisation evolution through creation going on.

Of course this is all a very loose form structure to play within.

Quick note for evolutionists, there are creationist who do believe evolution is a part of creation, not that they are one or the other and do not beleive that a man in the clouds with a beard and the power to punish or reward has anything to do with it.

The theory is just that light has been evoloving in self knowing and self realisation through its creations that also evolve with its inate intelligence. Again, IT being Light/conscious creative intelligence, not a man nor God nor supreme being above us.
