old cake potency?
    #3654775 - 01/20/05 07:35 PM (11 years, 10 months ago)

recent experiences have caused me to wonder:
Do 3rd or 4th flush shrooms have the same potency as first-flushers?
In other words, is there any evidence ( or opinions?)
that as the colony ages in its "life-cycle" the potency of the "fruit" diminishes?

Actually fourth flushes are generally (in those that have been tested) the most potent flush...it increases after the first each flush until about the 4th, then goes downhill.

This may vary depending on the substrate you use since some will contain less nutrients and last fewer flushes and the peak flush may come a little sooner. Potency will definatly vary between flushes though...and even between shroom on the same flush.

Nice question I was wondering teh same cause it seems that later flushes had less blue bruising here on teh shrooms. I know that dont says it all but...... Did not test myself yet!
