Air exchange rates diffrent strains using mycobags
    #3652260 - 01/20/05 05:49 AM (11 years, 10 months ago)

I've seen on this board that often everyone jumps to say use the pf tek when someone mentions the mycobag, well i have and i'd love to but enviromental circumstances have made this impossible for me at this time i have never used these bags before and pretty much the only thing i can see being a problem is using the right strain, one that has the lowest air exchange rate, im assuming would work best like something from a high altitude up in the mountains like a equadorian maybe? what i think would be intresting is to have people post on what strain they used and what the actual air exchange rate is and finally the sucess rate. so whats your top 3 picks for use in the mycobag?

any strain will grow well in the spawnbag,
since the filterpatch simply gets out the co2 and thats it.

every strain, if incubated under the same conditions,
will do equally good in the bags.
if working clean, you get a 100% success rate.

The patch gives you ABSOLUTLY ZERO air exchange. The patch is for GAS exchange. co2 will be released out of the hole as it builds up to much. This is not the active passing of air, but a passive release of EXCESS co2. The filter patch will work equally well for any cubie strain.
