panic attack?
    #3648116 - 01/19/05 12:35 PM (19 years, 2 months ago)

After taking a two week break from smoking (good) weed, I decided to smoke about 1/2 a gram before school today. The high started off pretty normal until i got to school(about an hour later). I was standing around talking to some friends and noticed my vision was getting increasingly blurrier/darker until I couldn't make out someones face standing 2 feet away from me. Then there was complete darkness, except for a faint outline of peoples bodies. During the "blindness" I felt like i had to puke and i was swetting like crazy. It lasted for about 5 minutes. I've been smoking daily for about 2 years and have never gotten a bad reaction. Could it have been a panic attack??

Could have been a panic attack, could have been you were just really high, or it could have been that the pot was laced, although from what you describe it doesn't really sound like it was.

could be a number of things, panic attack being one of them. how much had you eaten that day, if anything? i don't know why the weed would cause such a thing but i suppose everyone reacts differently. maybe you just smoked too much after taking a break like that

Sounds nothing like a panic attack, those are when ya heart goes mad,  pulse and blood pressure rise up, you can`t catch your breath.
For that, just breath in and out of a paper bag, worx wonders. I have it once on shrooms and everytime i smoke weed (Dont smoke anymore  )

Sounds to me like your blood pressure dropped massivly and you were on the verge of fainting, like when you stand up too quick

Ya, that`d cause ya pressure to drop suddenly, ive had something very similar a few times when I havn`t eaten, friends have fainted coming down off shrooms when they didn`t eat too.

Bingo. Blood pressure.

I hope you learned to respect this plant... I know (having been one myself) when you're a daily user you start to feel like you own the experience.. that you're a "seasoned veteran"... but the truth is, as soon as your tolerance is back down, you are no longer seasoned or a veteran.

I've been trying to stick to a "weekends only" regimen, for the sake of my health... and that first weekend after 5 days off I got SO HIGH... I felt like I was tripping my balls off. I sat there going, "Oh my god... I forgot all about this..." because it'd been so long since I felt the marijuana high without a strong tolerance.

Anyway, to put it short and sweet:

If you're going to take a break to bring your tolerance down, don't smoke your first bowl after the break right before school.

And if you ARE going to do that, atleast remember to eat breakfast...

I knew it had to do with food. Some people just don't have good diets and then blame it all on the substance.

I don't understand why low blood pressure would cause me to go blind. I've sat up too fast plenty of times, but this was pitch black for at least five minutes. Is there anyway i could get this to happen to one of my friends because i'm the only one in my circle of friends that ever experiences any crazy/unexplainable shit from weed and they never beleive me.
