Hay or Straw? Pic

I found a potentially unlimited source of pretty fresh straw from a deserted animal barn. Unfortunately, they also fed these animals hay that I am sure of, so not positive if I have hay, straw, or a mix of both. Which one is the bedding, that's straw correct?
I was hoping someone could ID this for me.

Today I picked up a bale of straw for $2.00 bucks, unfortunately the feed shop couldn't tell me what kind of straw it was. Looks ok, but not bright yellow or anything. Maybe it's old?

So what is the written descriptions of each??? I've always wondered this also. I know that straw has been aged. Maybe hay is just green straw?

I'm pretty sure hay is the first to be harvested by farmers, and straw is cut in following harvest. Not sure if this is right, but I think that is what I was told before. Does anyone no if this is right, or am I just spreading bad info?!

Straw is the stems of the wheat or oat plants which are cut and baled and often used for animal bedding, and hay is Alfalfa or other plants which are cut green and fed to the animals. Straw will always have a yellowish tint by nature, and hay will be green. Learning as I go here...
I just posted this pic because I don't know how to identify wheat or oat straw, and was wondering if it's age would play a role in productivity for a bulk project I have coming up.
