Do you have to release the CO2 from bags?
    #3642262 - 01/18/05 04:57 AM (20 years, 2 days ago)

I have some rye bags with a filter patch and a nice big chunk of mycellium seems to form nice and quickly about 5 days after I innoc a bag with karo.

After that it seems to slow right down to a halt, could it possibly be CO2 buildup? They are incubated at around 85F.

I wanted to squish all the air out of the bags and then try to re-puff them up but I'm afraid because I am just using clips instead of seal and I don't think they are airtight.

If you've not shaken, sometimes growth will occur in the center of the bag where you won't realize it's taken place until you squeeze it.

"A nation's hope of lasting peace cannot be firmly based upon any race in armaments but rather upon just relations and honest understanding with all other nations...

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed... The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. We pay for a single fighter with a half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people..."
