I never did make it to any when he was alive, but I will surely keep going anyway... He was the reason I started listening, the whole band is the reason I keep listening and will continue to go to the shows... I'd really like to do a mini tour, so from the closest place which is in mass. and go straight through till jones beach and then come home... that is my GD goal this year.

Following the Dead on tour is beginning to get very expensive.

And that's a damned shame. It used to be easy as getting on a bus.

It was magic. The energy in a concerthall with Garcia playing was like you would expect to find at a gathering of fuckin' angels.

I toured with them in '93 and '94. It was a magical time!! My fondest and strangest memory is when we were making the long haul out to Frisco, and the people I was catching a ride with were laying sheets the whole trip!! We had them hanging from paper clips around the ceiling of this microbus!! It was a classic ride that I won't easily forget.

I was fortunate enough to spend somewere between3-400 nights(and a few afternoons) listening to Jerry. Between the GD and JGB the man played alot of music. So many memories.

I guess the ones that stick out most are the ones were he cried.
One night I remmber watching him sing 'will ya merry me pretty peggy O" as tears streamed down his face. His words were trembling and he was bearing his soul for all to see.

The best was at the Warfield theater in downtown San Fransisco. He played there often with JGB and it always seemed were he was happiest. One night during a late winter run he was playing the Warfield and he was visibly crying tears of joy. For those of you who know the Warfield you know it's small and you can see everything. He sang "the night they drove ole dixie down" and brought the whole crowd into a weaping frenzy. It was like we were all sharing this special momet and he as much a participent as us.

Jerry on Broadway in 1987 was neat. I was so young I didn't apreaceate it as much as i do know.

Jerry singing Duprees diamond blues at the first Phill and friends show in
94(or was it 93?). Nifty trick by the band.

A decade of memorys i'll always cherish.
