Lipa Yai experiences?

Hey guys, I have a quick question
The Lipa Yai has been out for a while now, so I know a few of you have tried it. Any luck using traditional, uncased PF Tek with this strain?
If you can tell, what were the temperatures you used for the cakes? I expect 75 degrees or so is the most I'll be able to get without a heater, is that going to be a problem?
Thanks
Grover

I innoculated some cakes at the same time as my DB kit w/Lipa Yai, cased and I can't get the bitches to pin!
My DB kit now has about 40-60, 1 inch pins on it though
The jars I made were out of straight rye berries though, not PF tek

Hey baddassjessyjames, why don't ya get yourself some manure and throw like an inch on top of your "regular" casings. I bet you'l have more pins than you can count in under a week or two.
You know what pins are right?

My dog just birthed 8 tia-lipa yai. This is the first time he has tried this strain. The cakes are doing very well. I can't believe how thick the mycelium is. I imagine the temp would be the same as any other cubensis. I will post result's ASAP.

I had a friend of a friend, bla bla bla...
Did 5 jars of Koh Samui and 5 jars of Lipa Yai, straight PF style. Both were innoculated on the same day (July 4th)
The Lipa Yai was very slow to colinize, when compaired to the KS (about a week behind). The KS started mad pinning about a week ago, so those were birthed in a tub with some perlite, and started sprouting like mad. 2 days later, one jar of LY had a few pins, so the 5 jars were birthed (already had been 100% colinzed for over a week).
Was worried that there was something wrong with those cakes, because the KS was almost through a full flush and there were only a few LY popping up.
However, today there are many shrooms popping up from the LY cakes, some getting very tall.
So far the LY looks very good despite going slow....all done straight PF style.

Excellent, one week difference between growing time won't be a huge deal for me. My friend picked the Lipa Yais over the KS as his terrarium seems better suited for taller and skinnier fruits as opposed to the shorter, fatter KS.
So, your experience was 30 days from innoc to first fruit with the LY?
Thanks guys
Grover

Yup, innoc on July 4, and now there are 2 very tall shrooms, as well as many small ones popping up.
Pretty much 30 days from innoc to harvest.
The KS were very small and fat indeed, and the ly are very skinny and tall.
