humidity question on shroomery's "Easy Casing Method"
    #3642662 - 01/18/05 09:24 AM (19 years, 3 months ago)

The Easy Casing Method on here http://shroomery.org/index/par/7971 is pretty vague about what sort of humidified environment is best. Any feelings? A TiT and plenty of pearlite are already on hand so work within that if possible.

Your TiT and perlite will suffice....casings only need 80%rh+-

You could just toss it in your TiT and mist the walls daily. Except for cakes, dealing with perlite is unnecessary in my opinion. Misting a few times a day in a well sealed TiT provides plenty of moisture for casings.
