Where in Australia

To fellow Australian shroomers. Help me, I have just moved over from the East Island, New Zealand. Am currently in Sydney am have no idea of the fungus over here. Back home I found it very easy to obtain, over here I would not know. There a different species over here (Cubensis?) than home (Azures) . Is it the right time of the year and do they grow in Sydney? or nearabouts. Would love to hear from fellow NSW shroomers...help!!!...Please!!

Hello Cydonia, Well there are CUbensis in Australia but there are no P. azurescens growing in New Zealand. They are a Pacific Northwest Species. A species which loves alder chips.

There are in Nz P. aucklandia which resemle P. cyanescens and/or Paustraliana, P. eucalypta and P. tasmaniana.

I think you will find it interesting and informative. The main Australian season is now opver but some times a few pop up, especially the Copelandia (blue meanies) and the cubensis (gold tops).

well the season is nearly over - wow the first time i tripped on shrooms was in New Zealand - i think they were Subaeruginosa, as my guts were fucked up... Go out side and check some mulchy areas in parks and you should be lucky...

Yeah I think u came a bit late Im in Sydney aswell, and I have collected huge amounts of P.Subaguraosa at various places around where I live, are u in the north of syd or south?
As soon as September comes head up north, Nimbin, Byron Bay, Ballina so u can go hunting for Cubes and Copelandias.
And if u goto Nimbin make sure u try their herb cause its fuck cheap there.

I'm in inner city Sydney and have never known where to look...:(...no one I know is into it either, so it would be interesting to know... :wink:
