Dance Hall Ghost **Picture
    #3642577 - 01/18/05 10:46 AM (11 years, 10 months ago)

All I can tell you for 100% sure is that this picture wasn't made to deceive anyone. It was given to me by a friend shortly after she had them developed in order to scan for her so she could email them. There were about a dozen pictures taken that day, but only this one showed up foggy.I didn't think to ask for the negative.

Nah. Thats some strange lighting problem or someone lit a cigarette.

Of all the ghost pictures these kinds to me look like obvious lighting problems or random things like cigarette smoke.

The ones that boggle my mind are the orbs which are very different.

Ive developed pictures that had those same problems like that.

Now that I look at the picture I can see it as lit smoke...

I was looking for some explanation in the size the image suggests (something filling half the room), but now that I look at it differently, it can be smoke close to the camera, lit by flash.

Here's one taken home a couple years ago. Well, I always tought it was cigarette smoke (pretty obvious someones smokin here). But when looking a negative, looks like if it's smoke, there really is a lot!

Now, after some contrast adjust, I clearly see a face. Looks like an old man with a small pinch, like Colonel Sanders.

>> WTF does this have to do with S&P?

That's an important point. What does this have to do with S&P? Are spirituality and philosophy the same as the paranormal? I don't think so. The fields of spirituality and philosophy address practical matters, while the paranormal field at it's best offers up foundationless musings about non-events from opportunistic or delusional quacks.

The smoke is lit by the camera flash, that is why it appears to be too much smoke. It was there, you just didn't see it so much until the flash flashed.

When someone is smoking, the entire room is filled with smoke,
and us non smokers sufficate to death

at its best?? I disagree. at its best, the paranormal field offers up interesting answers to unanswerable questions, alternatives to the sometimes rigid and brittle theories of accepted science, a cold splash of water to the face of reason

going zeke on this one. the paranormal is not a field dominated by quacks, delusional or otherwise. the universe is far more mysterious than any of us can count on, and those mysteries are the essence of the paranormal. philosophy and spirituality were developed as a method to explain these mysteries. without the paranormal (and i include god, miracles, spirit guides etc as paranormal) the entire field of philosophy would not have begun. hell, conciousness itself can be considered a paranormal phenomenon. why do we have it? where does it come from? is it the soul, is it god? it is non replicatable in the laboratory, certainly, and we seem to be the only species in the natural world in which it occurs. to make such a dismissive blanket statement is the sign of a closed mind (no offense, but . . .).
who says that the paranormal is not practical? i know a few thousand witches and magi who would disagree with you. spirituality is the recognition and investigation of paranormal phenomena. if you are a spiritual person, you must accept that there is more to the universe than what we see in everyday life. if not, you're just intellectually masterbating.
there are certainly delusional quacks who make a lot of noise about the paranormal, i won't disagree with you there, but they are not the only people investigating these things.

It's ok as long as people try to bring up the connections in such fields. I do agree with you on most aspects but let's not make this place a ghost ID forum.
There are websites like ghoststudy to share this kind of information, they even have forums to discuss this issues.
I did also ask them about a similar issue some time ago, it was about this pic:
