Self Sustained Casing

Ok... I was wondering if anyone has used a container for a casing that didn't need to go into a terrarium? I am trying an ice cream bucket right now, and gladware, but neither seems to be working well, advice?

Oooo this tea tastes like dirt, what is it....?

Hey Mon,

Check this out. a few months age i made some casings in some shoe bow stlye tupper ware, put the lid on them and let them sit for a couple of day. Then i got called out of town for work for two weeks. At the time my terrium was not set up so i just left the casing with the lid on. i just left them for dead. when i came back two out of the three casing had grew a huge crop. with out the terrium.

I am curently trying casing 1/2 of a 1/2 pint jar of substrate in a small butter dish. with some small holes in the lid. without a terrium.

I think i will call it the PARROT HEAD Neglect Teck.
