"Invisalign" is that clear mouthguard type thing that fits over your teeth in order to straighten them. It looks fairly discrete and hard to spot.
Lingual braces are braces that go on the back of your teeth instead of the front. They are completely invisible to someone talking to you.
I have had a SHITLOAD of orthodontic work. I am 25 and I have had braces twice and a retainer three times. I have had multiple teeth pulled to make room in my mouth. My wisdom teeth came in and made all the rest of my teeth kind of crooked again(not terribly crooked but definately not straight). I am thinking of getting them straightened again.
I WILL NOT get baces that go on the front of my teeth again(clear or metal ones). Anybody have any suggestions?
Sorry, never had braces. I had a car wreck in Atlanta, back in '97 and ate the steering wheel on my '65 Mustang. I had my teeth wired in for a while. That sucked bad enough. I couldn't imagine years of braces. Ugh!!
my retainer after wearing braces was one of those clear plastic coverings... it hurt like a bitch if i didin't wear it everyday. i couldn't talk quite right with them on and i drooled a lot too. ECK! Besides those three drawbacks, nobody could see that i was wearing it. They thought i was a tard instead!
