Lowest temps for mycelium??
    #3640074 - 01/17/05 07:11 PM (12 years, 6 months ago)

Does anyone here have any info or experience with the lowest temp mycelium can be stored at? Could it survive sub-freezing temps for a day or so and then be reintroduced to it's optimum temp and still be healthy? I have seen that thermal death ocfcurs at about 106 but haven't had any luck finding anything about opposite temps. ANy advice would be greatly apreciated.

it's been stored in deep freezers for up to 20 years if that gives you any clue

Deep freezing (-450F.) stop nearly all metabolic activity, subzero -0F. to -50F. will kill simply put thats why cubies don't grow in northern climates. IME
