These are pics from Thanksgiving. Changed my mind at the last minute from making something weird to making something traditional.

First a pie dough is made by mixing
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup lard
2 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
About 1/2 cup iced water
Wrap this in plastic and chill for three hours.



Next you stem and clean 3 lbs green beans and chop one loaf of crusty french bread into cubes.
In a bowl coar the bread cubes with thyme, rosemerry, oregano, all spice, salt and pepper and drizzle a bit of olive oil, then bake till crunchy like crutons. 350 for 15 minutes should do.



Cook some chopd smoked baccon and saute 1.5 white onions in the baccon grease.


To make Green Bean Caserole, add 1 can cream of mushroom soup with 1/2 of your onion and baccon, 1lb sliced mushrooms, salt and pepper and some almond slivers.
To make the Stuffing, mix the bread crumbs with the remaining onion and baccon, put into a bakeing dish and fill with chicken broth almost to the top... Put a layer of bread on top of the Caserole too.. Thats good stuff.



Now everything is in the oven you should get the pie ready. Green and red apples are diced and mixed with sugar, lemon juice and cinamon, butter is added.
Put this into the crust and get ready to layer the top classic american style.




Now that everything is done, take a picture and eat. Everything was damn tasty and when I finished stuffing myself, the pie was ready....
I made a whole bone in turkey breast by roasting it in the oven since my BBQ rotisserie wouldnt hold it....
