Any cheap terrarium ideas?
    #363809 -

Looking to see if the 2 liter coke bottle terrarium would work...Any one currently using this method? Let me know!

Never used it but have seen many others say it has worked for them. Realistically though, a rubbermaid with perlite could be done for less than $8.00. If you've got a couple of square feet of floor space to spare I'd go that route.

I agree with vitt. The coke bottle way is fine if you only have six or less cakes, but if you have more its just a royal pain in the ass. A plastic storage tub works great. Just tip it upside down, put the perlite on the lid, put the cakes on the perlite and put the tub on the lid. This way it is easier to get to your cakes, or casings.

I too recomend the setilite/tupper ware jar.
Walmart has them for $2.50 and a bag of perlite (iused less than half) for $2.69. Cheap and works great for me.
If you have a bit more $$$ you may want to get a pleiglass top for it. (not sure how much that is i find tons of the crap when working. if it is expensive I'll cut a piece and send you it if you pay shipping)
