Can't get rid of the mean green
    #3637915 - 01/17/05 08:31 AM (13 years, 9 days ago)

Afoaf always gets mean green after the first flush, yesterday he harvested 120 grams wet off of half a mycobag cased with coco/verm. He even cut it in half to make sure no green was present. 3 days later contam hit the casing hard. He has noticed lots of water on the lid of his pmp. Could this be the source of the problem? or maybe water content is to high in casing mixture? but then why would it only hit after first flush?

If it's always after the first flush then it seems that you are introducing the green during the harvesting of the first flush. I would try to be as sterile as possible during the harvest and do it in a room that is as clean as a whistle. You may need to fabricate a drip shield if the drops are soaking your casings. You might need to go a little leaner on your water content and see how that goes. You want moist not soaked. Good luck.
