G2G TIME SAVER
    #3635651 - 01/16/05 04:34 PM (20 years, 4 days ago)

If you do a lot of G2G.... here is a time saver.

Make up a bunch of metal tyvek filter lids like this.

Two lids togather, drill holes through them (so holes match).

Add large square TYVEK, add second lid (make sure holes match - you can tell by feel).

Sealant on lid will seal both lids togather - when you PC.

Could also do same thing - with one 1/2 hole (each lid)

Saves a lot of tyvek cutting.

In G2G, you do not innoc with syringe needle. So no needle hole gets poked through Tyvek. G2G you OPEN jars & add colonized grains from another jar. Can use same G2G lid filter over & over again. Conserves Tyvek & saves time cutting it.

It is also a bitch unscrewing 60 jars or more with the tyvek all up in the ring, that might make that easier...interesting..
