techniques in growing

Allright, I'm a fungus farmer in progress...I just have a couple questions that hopefully someone can answer.
1) Once your shrooms get to a certain stage, can you safely transport them out doors?
2) Does the amount of light that your shrooms have effect the growth?

The amount of light will have an effect as well as temperature. As long as you are reasonably certain the parameters of growth will not be extremley altered you will be fine. Also make sure there is plenty of water around. Good luck.

Lighting has a minimal effect on mushrooms. It just tells them wich direction to grow. You can still grow shrooms in total darkness, they just come out all twisted and malformed. You can grow mushrooms outside, just sticking a cake or a casing outside on the ground won't do much but there are ways of making outdoor mushroom beds out of dung.
