OK i got a big ass Rubbermaid tub, to heat in i put it in another tub with water in the bottom with my heating pad under that, the top tub was still not heating evenly.. did i fix the problem by raising the tub up a 1/2inch so the top one doesn't touch the bottom? Also Ive been reading, your supposed let endospores germinate in wbs before p-cooking i see the benefit to this but doesn't 1 1/2 hours in a p-cooker kill every thing any ways? Whats the shortest amount of time i could wait after heating the seed before p-cooking to make sure a contams are dead?

I'd use a submersible aquarium heater instead of a heating pad.
Here is a good link for WBS question. Click Here!
Good luck!~

If the endospores aren't germinated they have a better chance of surviving through the pc process. Soak-Simmer-Pc is the key

thanks that helped a little also made me think, it seems that when you just mix the water and seed together before PC cooking it doesn't absorb the water very well but what if i pced for 15min let sit for 12hrs, the more water in the seed might be the reason for better sterilization not so much endospores germinating but having water breach the kernels allowing the heat to penetrate. Thanks for helping me answer my own Question.

It's usually done the other way around. You soak the WBS for 12-24 hours then put it in a strainer and rinse. After this you simmer for 30 minutes (not boil, just simmer) then you rinse it again and let it drip dry for 30 minutes or so. If it drips even one drop it's not dry enough. When it's ready, you load it into your jars then PC at 15psi for 60 to 90 minutes. Let jars cool then inoculate. Hope this helps clear it up a bit. GL.
